GoMyCV does not require an account, email address or payment to build a CV. Creating an account is optional and free.

There are no analytics scripts, advertising cookies, or third-party trackers anywhere in the application. When you sign in we use a single secure, HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in.

If you use the builder without signing in, everything you type is saved to your browser's local storage on this device and is never sent to a server.

If you sign in, your CV is saved to your GoMyCV account so you can retrieve it on any device. Only you can access it through your session.

The PDF generation used by "Download PDF" always runs locally in your browser. The PDF file is created on your device and downloaded directly.

You can remove your saved CV at any time with the "Clear my CV" action in the builder. When signed in, you can also delete individual CVs from your dashboard.

Clearing your browser's site data has the same effect for any CV saved locally.

The optional JSON export lets you create a backup file of your CV data, and the import restores data from a file you chose. Imported data is validated against the expected structure and is never executed as code.

A CV saved without an account is tied to that browser and device. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing that clears on exit, or switching devices will not preserve it unless you export a backup or sign in.
